Fashionistas love their selfies, and the holidays are a perfect excuse to show off your beautiful outfits along with the good times you and your friends are having. But how do you wear the latest without breaking the bank? And even if you have the budget to binge shop, adding too many items to your wardrobe could make your closet suffer.

So, how do you enhance your closet with designer items without physically packing the space?

Style Lend is a free iOS app that allows users to rent designer fashions from stylish closets, localized by city and neighborhood. If you work in a downtown location, you don’t want to go all the way out to the suburban mall to pick out a dress. Style Lend lets you narrow your focus to the neighborhoods you visit regularly.

Next, filter by category, color, price and size. When you have the perfect outfit chosen, scroll so you can see it in detail. Message the owner with any questions about the item, and when you’re ready to rent, hit the request button and choose the week you’d like to borrow the outfit. Then, set up a time and place to pick it up from the owner.

Style Lend also lets you become a lender. Upload those clothing items you don’t mind lending out, and get some extra cash for sharing your closet. That way, you’re not giving up on pieces you love—you’re making money from them.

The simplicity of this borrowing app allows style-conscious people to try a variety of looks, without filling your allowed storage space. In this case, that’s your closet. That way, you have ample space to buy the clothes you really love—yet look like you have a whole lot more.

And when you take your jealousy-inducing selfies (in your gorgeous, borrowed outfits), you can keep your phone’s storage tidy by putting the pics on a nifty little device (like this for iOS and Android).
