Adobe’s applications often seem too complicated for regular folks. They’re perfect for your designer friends — Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere — these hulking flotillas that tweak every last detail of a picture, design or video. But us casual users don’t need all that. We just want to touch up a selfie, for crying out loud.

Adobe heard these pleas. Over the last few years they’ve released slimmed down versions of their powerhouses for the Average Joe. So meet Fix, the simplified Photoshop for your iPhone.

First off, if you are a pro, listen to Gizmodo, “Photoshop Fix is not a substitute for the full version of Photoshop.” But if you are in selfie-correcting territory, according to both Gizmodo and The Verge, Fix has everything you’d need. “In my short time with the app,” The Verge says, “almost all of the tools appear to work as well as you’d want them to.” The app pulls from your camera roll so don’t worry about having another file for storage on your phone.

Adobe seems to know that correcting pictures of people will be the top priority. The app recognizes faces. In addition — and some people might not like this — the app gives you sliders to adjust ears, nose, mouth, eyes and other bits and pieces of you. Ostensibly this is fun but it will leave that selfie looking creepy if you go too far. Otherwise the app comes with all sorts of fun color and image adjustment tools to turn that snapshot into profile pic material.

Now the last question will be: what do you do with all these wonderful creations? These sorts of files add serious heft to your phone. That’s when you’ll want some secure storage off your device — you know where to find us.
